A Night at the Artpera... Living Art & Art Exhibitions

All I can say is "It has been just plain WONDERFUL!". I am so very lucky to be a part of a community that supports local artists. Over the past 8 months, I have made it a point of getting to know many local art enthusiasts like myself throughout our community. By working with them, I have been able to feature my

art in their local galleries. It has been a very busy, but very exciting time. Back in April, I decided to take

a leap of faith and I launched my heART into the world of Art Exhibitions. I was able to paint enough art for

not one, not two, but three Solo Art Exhibitions. I had the honor of doing my very first show at a local downtown Art Gallery and Book Store called "City Center Gallery and Books". The owners, Dr. Hank and Diane Parfitt were just incredible and they helped me launch my art into the community. The theme for this first exhibition was "Intentional Marks" and I am truly thankful for all that attended the exhibition. It was beyond my wildest dreams.

If I were able to describe my excitement, it basically was like giving a starving artist their first bite after not eating for years. My dream had come true and I felt like I was finally in that place I had been searching for. My passion had come to life. So what did I do?

Well... I kept on painting... and before I knew it, I had exhibition number two all lined up and ready to go.

Again, I had the honor of doing my second show at a local frame shop called "Lisa's Custom Framing".

The owner, Robin Kelly was wonderful. She helped create yet another beautiful evening to present new pieces of my heART to the community. The theme for this second exhibition was "The Psyche of and Artist" and it had another wonderful turnout.

Well let me tell you, to this point, it was quite an unimaginable ride. The kind of ride you just don't seem to want to get off of. If you know me at all, you will know that when I focus, I can make things happen. So that's exactly what I did. To celebrate these exciting past endeavors, I went yet another step further and invited local friends and art lovers to attend my third and most exciting exhibition yet "A Night at the Artpera" hosted at the gorgeous venue and local art gallery downtown, "King Studio". I am so grateful to the gallery owners, Greg King and Carlos Aguila, for the opportunity to showcase my heART in their beautiful space. They were just phenomenal and this show is currently on display, with art for sale. Greg and Carlos helped me to orchestrate an evening of art emersion. It was Halloween weekend, so I went the extra mile to plan for a fun and very unique artistic experience. With artist Alexa Meade as my inspiration, I worked for days to create an actual Living Painting, and it was AWESOME! I asked my friend, Walter Knox, to be my subject and I painted him into the backdrop. He was FANTASTIC! For those of you that missed it, below are some fun photos of the evening. So for now that's it, but there's a whole lot more coming, so stay tuned my friends and watch out for more!

Enjoy!

Always in my heART! Ox
